Why Do You Need Us?

If, after years of traditional therapy, you haven’t seen the improvements you hoped for, it’s natural to wonder what might be going wrong. Despite your tremendous efforts and significant investment in time and finances, your child may still seem far behind in reaching key milestones. For parents with a recent autism diagnosis, it’s crucial to carefully evaluate where to seek help, ensuring you make the most of the early intervention window. Here are compelling reasons to consider partnering with us on your journey to support your child’s development:

Parents can understand Parents

Only a family can truly engage with you on an emotional level, and that’s where our unique approach comes in. Our support is rooted in a Co-Parenting model, which allows us to collaborate closely with you rather than acting as traditional therapists. In fact, we did not pursue therapy for our own twins. Instead, we propose to partner with you as Co-Parents on this journey, working together to nurture your child’s growth and development in a supportive and loving environment.

Speech delay or lack of language/communication

Many autistic children face challenges in developing speech, often as a result of conventional speech therapy methods. Surprisingly, the traditional focus on oromotor activities can overlook a crucial aspect: speech originates in the brain, not just the mouth. Recognizing this, we have pioneered a psychology-based approach that directly targets brain functions to enhance speech development. Our method has shown remarkable results; our 3.5-year-old twins, for example, each articulate complex sentences—approximately 10,000 sentences a day, with many ranging from 10 to 14 words long! This innovative strategy not only enriches their vocabulary but also fosters natural communication skills.

Persistent sensory issues

Are u struggling with sensory issues that did not get resolved after years of sensory integration therapy etc? We got the answer. Typically, in a Sensory Integration program the Child is being overloaded and is made to perform the activities with forceful physical trauma that often leads to appearance of other behavioral symptoms arises. We have understood the root cause for Autism related sensory processing disorders lies in the brain. Hence, trying to work only on just symptoms is not the solution. For our severely autistic twins, we never worked on their sensory issue related symptoms, but we have developed our own unique brain-based approach that can make sensory issues disappear fundamentally.

Lack of Socialization

Lack of socialization in children is often not a behavioral issue, but rather a result of limited language skills, which hinders their ability to communicate effectively with peers. This communication gap can lead to children distancing themselves from others. We address this issue head-on by enhancing speech and communication abilities, thereby promoting socialization and helping children connect with their peers more effectively. Our approach empowers children to engage confidently in social interactions!

Behavior issues

Are you concerned about the awkward behaviors exhibited by your autistic child? Do you find yourself questioning whether these actions are intentional? The answer is no. Through our deep understanding of autism, we confidently assert that many behaviors deemed awkward by social norms stem from the way we interact with autistic children. Often, these children struggle to express their needs through language, necessitating a more delicate approach to their care. When we fail to engage with them sufficiently to grasp their needs, they resort to any means they can find to seek help. To truly support children with autism, we must meet them at their level, understanding their perspective and providing assistance rather than labeling their behaviors as awkward. At Autism Blessings, we focus on resolving behavioral issues by modifying the environment to better suit their needs. Together, we can create a more understanding and supportive space for our children!
